Before you start

Version 1.0 — October 28, 2026

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING. By ticking the acceptance box, installing, buying a license for or using Neural Mail Repair, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms, including the Risk Annex at the end. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

Plain-language summary (it does not replace the full text):

• The software works with your files and drives, and every operation on data carries risk. Make a backup before using it.

• No software guarantees 100% results. We do not promise that any file or data will be recovered, repaired or preserved.

• You may only use the software on devices and data that are yours or that you are authorized to handle.

• Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows. The consumer rights of your country still apply.

• Your files are processed on your computer and are not sent to us.

1. Who provides the software

Neural Mail Repair (the "Software") is provided by VICTOR D. GOMES SOLUCOES TECNOLOGICAS, Brazilian corporate taxpayer ID (CNPJ) 36.443.293/0001-29, with registered office at Av. Frei Cirilo, 4597, Sala 8, Messejana, Fortaleza, CE, 60840-285, Brazil, doing business as Neural System ("Neural System", "we", "us"). "You" or "User" means the individual or legal entity that installs, buys or uses the Software.

To accept these Terms you must be of legal age to enter into contracts in your country (18 in Brazil) or be assisted by your parent or legal guardian. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to do so, and the company becomes the User.

2. What the software does

The Software attempts to repair and convert damaged mailbox files (such as PST, OST and MBOX), creating a NEW file with the messages, attachments, contacts and calendars it is able to read. The original file is not changed.

The Software's operations and the risks of each one are described in the Risk Annex, which is part of these Terms. The Software's screens also show warnings before each operation; read them before confirming.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Software, according to the plan you purchased:

• Free: diagnosis, preview of the messages found and saving up to 50 items to check the result.

• Personal: non-commercial use on up to 2 computers.

• Technician: commercial use (serving customers) on up to 3 computers.

With a one-time payment license, you may use the purchased edition forever, with the fixes and improvements released for that edition during the period stated on the purchase page. Later editions may be sold separately, with upgrade pricing for owners of the previous one.

Free, trial, demo or test versions may have limited features, volume or duration and may stop working at any time.

The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Neural System. Commercial use, such as providing services to third parties with the Software, is only allowed under plans that expressly include it.

4. Restrictions

You may not: (a) copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute or make the Software or the license key available to third parties, except as allowed by your plan; (b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it notwithstanding this restriction; (c) circumvent, disable or tamper with the licensing system, limits or protection measures; (d) remove copyright or trademark notices; (e) use the Software for unlawful purposes, to infringe the rights of others or to develop a competing product.

5. Lawful use and authorization

You may only use the Software on devices, accounts, files and data that belong to you or that you are demonstrably authorized to access and handle. You may not use it to gain unauthorized access to data, to violate privacy, confidentiality, copyright, technical protection measures or any other rights, or to create, alter or destroy evidence.

If you use the Software on other people's data (for example, as a technician serving customers or as a company handling employee data), you are responsible for that processing under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the Brazilian LGPD and equivalent laws: you must have a legal basis, inform the data subjects, keep the data confidential and delete it when the service ends. Neural System does not access that data.

The Software is not a certified forensic tool. Its results do not guarantee chain of custody and do not, by themselves, serve as evidence in judicial or administrative proceedings. The Software is not designed for use in situations where a failure could cause death, injury or serious damage, such as medical, aviation, industrial control or critical infrastructure systems.

6. Operational risks and your responsibilities

Every operation on files, drives and devices carries risks that exist regardless of the software used: hardware may fail while being read, power may go out, other programs may write to the same drive, and data that is already damaged may be beyond repair. The Risk Annex explains the risks of each operation of the Software and what to do to reduce them.

Before and during use, you are responsible for:

• keeping backup copies of your files BEFORE using the Software and, whenever possible, working from a copy;

• making sure there is enough free space, a stable power supply and a computer in normal working condition;

• not using the Software on drives, USB sticks, memory cards or devices showing signs of physical failure (noises, freezes, extreme slowness, overheating) when the Software or the Risk Annex points you to a specialized service;

• reading the Software's warnings and carefully checking the destination drive, folder or file before confirming operations that write, replace or delete data;

• checking the result of every operation before deleting originals or relying on the result for financial, legal, medical, accounting, tax or safety purposes;

• keeping your operating system, antivirus and drivers up to date.

7. No guarantee of results

The result of each operation depends on the condition of your files, drives and devices, which Neural System does not control. Therefore, Neural System DOES NOT GUARANTEE that any file or data will be recovered, repaired, copied, converted or preserved, in whole or in part, or that the result will have all of the original content, names, formatting, dates or quality.

Percentages, previews, diagnoses, time estimates and warnings shown by the Software are good-faith technical estimates, not promises of results. A free preview shows what the Software found at that moment and does not guarantee the same result in another run or on another computer.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. This does not affect the statutory guarantees that the law of your country does not allow to be excluded, described in "Rights that cannot be excluded by law" and in "Consumer rules by country".

8. Factors beyond our control

Neural System is not liable for loss or damage caused by factors unrelated to the Software, such as: pre-existing hardware, drive or device failures, or failures that arise during use; power outages or surges; forced shutdowns; viruses, ransomware, antivirus software, third-party programs, the operating system or the device manufacturer; cloud sync services; internet or third-party service outages; use contrary to these Terms or to the Software's instructions; and acts of God or force majeure.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEURAL SYSTEM AND ITS PARTNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: LOSS, CORRUPTION OR UNAVAILABILITY OF DATA OR FILES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, CUSTOMERS, OPPORTUNITIES OR GOODWILL; BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; COSTS OF DATA RECOVERY OR OF HIRING THIRD PARTIES; OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEURAL SYSTEM'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE LICENSE IN THE 12 (TWELVE) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR, IF YOU PAID NOTHING, TO BRL 100.00 (ONE HUNDRED BRAZILIAN REAIS) OR THE EQUIVALENT IN YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal basis of the claim (contract, tort, warranty or otherwise) and remain in effect even if any remedy under these Terms fails of its essential purpose. They are part of the price: the Software is sold at a low price precisely because the risk of data loss is controlled by you, through backups.

10. Rights that cannot be excluded by law

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for willful misconduct, fraud or, where the law so requires, gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury, and the rights granted by the consumer protection laws of your country. If you are a consumer, each provision of this document applies only to the extent permitted by the law of your country, and the rules in the next section prevail over any other provision of these Terms.

11. Consumer rules by country

Brazil. If you are a consumer under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990): (a) the limitations of liability in these Terms do not exclude Neural System's liability for defects in the Software, under article 51, I, of the Code; (b) you have the statutory guarantee against defects, within the periods of article 26 of the Code; (c) you may withdraw from the purchase within 7 (seven) days, under article 49 of the Code; (d) you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. We provide technical support during the technical validity period of each version, under Law No. 9,609/1998, and maintain the customer service channel required by Decree No. 7,962/2013. You may also file complaints at consumidor.gov.br.

European Union and European Economic Area. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the EEA: (a) you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, even though these Terms are governed by Brazilian law (article 6 of the Rome I Regulation); (b) the Software must conform to the contract and to Directive (EU) 2019/770, and, in case of lack of conformity, you are entitled, free of charge, to have the Software brought into conformity and, where that is not possible, to a price reduction or to terminate the contract, within the period set by the law of your country (at least 2 years for a one-off supply, or throughout the term of a subscription); (c) you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases (Directive 2011/83/EU), which ends when the download or use of the paid version begins with your prior express consent and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose this right, which we request at checkout; (d) you may bring proceedings, and may only be sued, in the courts of your country of residence (articles 17 and 18 of the Brussels I bis Regulation).

United Kingdom. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom: (a) under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Software must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, where that is not possible, to a price reduction or refund; (b) if a defect in the Software, caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, damages your device or other digital content belonging to you, we will repair the damage or pay you appropriate compensation; (c) you have 14 days to cancel the purchase (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), a right that ends when the download or use begins with your express consent; (d) you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live.

United States. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages; in those states, those exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. These Terms give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. For subscriptions, we follow state automatic renewal laws: we disclose the price and billing frequency before purchase, ask for your consent, send the required notices and allow online cancellation. California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, telephone (800) 952-5210. For U.S. government end users, the Software is "commercial computer software" and is licensed only with the rights set out in these Terms (FAR 12.212 and DFARS 227.7202).

Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. In New Zealand, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 when you buy for personal use.

Canada. If you are a consumer in Quebec, the limitation of liability, jurisdiction and warranty disclaimer provisions of these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by the Quebec Consumer Protection Act. In the other provinces, provincial consumer protection laws prevail.

Latin America and other countries. If you are a consumer in another country, the non-waivable rights of local law apply, such as withdrawal periods for distance purchases (for example, 10 days in Argentina and Chile and 5 business days in Mexico and Colombia). If the law of your country grants a longer period or a greater right than these Terms, the law prevails.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Neural System against claims, losses, fines and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Software in breach of these Terms, the law or third-party rights, including use on third-party data without authorization. If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent permitted by the law of your country.

13. Prices, payment and taxes

Prices are those shown on the purchase page at the time of the order, in the currency indicated. Taxes may be included or added depending on the country, and the purchase page shows the total amount before payment. Payments are processed by Stripe and by other methods shown on the purchase page; Neural System does not receive or store your full card details.

14. Withdrawal, refunds and satisfaction guarantee

In addition to the rights granted by the law of your country, we offer a full refund, with no questions asked, when requested within 7 calendar days of payment. Once refunded, the license is deactivated. Deadlines and how to request a refund are set out in the Refund Policy: https://mailrepair.neuralsystem.com.br/en/reembolso.

After that period, requests are reviewed case by case, for example when a defect in the Software prevents its use, without prejudice to statutory guarantees.

15. Activation, license checks and updates

License activation is done over the internet, once per computer, and the Software may check the license periodically. If the license server is unavailable, the Software keeps working for a grace period.

We may release updates, which may be installed automatically or offered to you, and we may change or discontinue features of the Software, without reducing the essential features of a paid license during the contracted period. Support is provided through the channels and within the timeframes stated on the official website and in your plan.

16. Privacy and data

The files and data you process with the Software stay on your computer. The Software does not send the content of your files to Neural System or to any third party, except when you choose to send them, for example to a cloud service you configure or to support.

License activation and checks, updates, support and, if you allow it, error reports may require sending minimal data, such as your license key, a technical identifier of your computer, the Software version, the operating system and your purchase e-mail. Such data is processed in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR where applicable, U.S. state privacy laws and the Privacy Policy: https://mailrepair.neuralsystem.com.br/en/privacidade.

The Software's reports are saved only on your computer. If you send them to support, they may contain file, folder and device names.

17. Third-party components and trademarks

The Software includes third-party open-source components governed by their own licenses, whose notices accompany the Software or are available on the official website. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted by those licenses.

Names of third-party products, formats and services mentioned by the Software (for example, Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Android, iPhone or cloud services) are trademarks of their respective owners and are mentioned only to indicate compatibility. Neural System is not affiliated with or endorsed by those owners. When the Software uses a third-party service, that service's terms also apply to you.

18. Intellectual property and feedback

The Software, its code, screens, texts, logos and the Neural System and Neural Mail Repair trademarks belong to Neural System or its licensors and are protected by copyright, software and industrial property laws and by international treaties. The files and data you process remain yours. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely, with no obligation to pay you.

19. Export and sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, or on a list of, any country, region or party subject to embargoes or sanctions that prohibit providing the Software to you (including the lists of the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States), and that you will not use the Software in violation of applicable export control laws.

20. Termination

You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Software. This license terminates automatically if you materially breach these Terms and, where the breach can be cured, fail to cure it within 15 days of our notice. Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Files you have already created remain yours. The sections on no guarantee of results, factors beyond our control, limitation of liability, rights that cannot be excluded by law, consumer rules, indemnification, intellectual property, governing law and general provisions survive termination.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms to reflect changes in the Software, the law or our business. The current version will be available on the official website. Material changes will be announced in the Software or by e-mail at least 30 days in advance and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your acceptance again. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Software and, for subscriptions, cancel before the change takes effect. Changes do not reduce rights you already had under a one-time payment license you have already purchased.

22. Governing law, amicable resolution and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the User's country of residence.

Before taking any judicial or out-of-court action, the parties agree to try to resolve the matter amicably through the contact below for at least 30 (thirty) days from the complaint. This period does not prevent urgent measures or the use of public consumer protection channels.

The courts of Fortaleza, State of Ceará, Brazil, shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence and to any other mandatory jurisdiction rules of applicable law.

23. Language

These Terms are offered in several languages. In case of conflict, the Portuguese version prevails, unless the law of the User's country requires that the version in the User's language prevail.

24. General provisions

These Terms, together with the conditions of the plan you purchased, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Neural System regarding the Software. Electronic acceptance (ticking the acceptance box or completing the purchase) has the same validity as a signature.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Failure by either party to enforce any obligation is not a waiver or amendment of these Terms.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. Neural System may assign them in the event of a corporate reorganization or sale of the business, without reducing your rights.

Risk Annex — what can go wrong in each operation

This annex is part of the Neural Mail Repair Terms of Use. It explains, in plain language, the risks of each type of operation the Software performs, what the Software does to reduce them and what you should do. Reading this annex before using the Software is the best way to protect your data.

A1. Risks of any operation

What can go wrong: drives, memory cards and devices can fail at any time, including while the Software is running; a power outage, a forced shutdown or another program writing to the same drive can corrupt data; data that is already damaged may be beyond repair.

What you should do: make a backup before you start; close other programs that use the same files; keep laptops plugged in and use a UPS for long operations; do not interrupt an operation in progress; read every warning before confirming.

What we do not guarantee: any specific result. The Software shows what it found and what it managed to do, and you decide whether the result meets your needs.

A2. Repairing and converting mailboxes (PST, OST, MBOX and similar)

What can go wrong: large mailboxes may take hours to process and require a lot of free space, and an interruption produces an incomplete result; messages, attachments, folders, contacts or calendars may come back incomplete or with different dates, senders or accented characters; items that had been deleted may reappear; OST files depend on the source account and profile and may have parts that only exist on the server; importing the result into a connected account (such as Microsoft 365, Exchange or IMAP) may duplicate messages and upload them to the server, where they become subject to the account's retention and compliance rules. The Software does not crack passwords or message encryption (such as S/MIME or IRM).

What the Software does to reduce the risk: it works on a copy of the mailbox file and saves the result to a new file.

What you should do: close your e-mail program before starting; have free space of at least twice the size of the mailbox; check the result, including items that reappeared, before importing, sharing or deleting the original. Only use the Software on mailboxes that are yours or that you are authorized in writing to handle; for corporate mailboxes, follow the company's retention and confidentiality rules. Using the Software to secretly monitor anyone or to violate the secrecy of correspondence is prohibited.

What we do not guarantee: that all messages and attachments will be recovered, or that the result will be compatible with every version of every e-mail program.
